Dank U, Gracias, Mahalo, Merci, Takk, Danke, Ua Tsaug, Thanks a bunch, Thanks a million! No matter how many ways or in how many languages you say it, we can never say it enough—THANK YOU! April is Volunteer Appreciation Month, and we here at River Valleys have been showing appreciation for all of our fabulous volunteers all month long!
It’s been an incredible year, all thanks to the hard work of our troop leaders, service unit volunteers, cookie managers (!), parents, higher awards advisors, Juliette mentors, and everyone else who has put their valuable time and energy into making the Girl Scout experience as AMAZING as possible! With love, patience, and a deep dedication to expanding girls’ possibilities, it’s volunteers like YOU that make the Girl Scout experience special. Just check out what these girls had to say when asked what their favorite thing about being a Girl Scout was…
“My favorite thing about Girl Scouts is… going to camp with my leaders and my troop” – Junior Girl Scout
“I like my leaders and the other girls in Girl Scouts, and I really like all the activities and volunteering we do.” – Cadette Girl Scout
“I love doing the activities that my troop leader plans! It feels good to make a difference in someone’s world!” – Cadette Girl Scout
“My favorite thing about Girl Scouts is our troop leader. She always makes things fun and lets us all add on to her ideas.” – Junior Girl Scout
We know it, parents know it, and girls know it—our volunteers are EVERYTHING. Thank you again for all you do.
Want to share the love? Volunteers can share this image on your social media with a special message to let everyone know why you’re proud to be a Girl Scout volunteer. Parents, girls, and volunteers who want to show appreciation for their fave Girl Scout volunteer can share this fun photo and tell them why you think they’re so great. Make sure to tag @GirlScoutsRV and use #NVW2017 so we can all follow the fun!
Not yet a Girl Scout volunteer? It’s not too late to embark on this incredible adventure! If you’re looking for ways to make a powerful, lasting impact on girls in your community, we’d love to chat. Volunteer today!
