Last year, we were so excited to have River Valleys Girl Scout, Natalie Berg, and her mother Michelle selected as finalists in the National Girl Scout Cookie Recipe Contest (doesn’t their Coconut Chantilly Pie look AMAZING?!), and we were so proud to see them on the Today Show making their delicious dessert.
Could another River Valleys Girl Scout rise to the top in this contest this year? I THINK SO! Thinking of throwing your hat (or beanie) in the ring? Here’s what you need to know:
The contest is sponsored by Taste of Home and is a partnership with Girl Scouts of the USA. The submission period is from February 25 – March 25. In late April there will be a voting period where the general public decides what recipe sounds most delectable. There are four categories for this contest:
- cakes, cupcakes, and pies
- cookies, brownies, and bars
- pudding, ice cream, and gelatin desserts
More information on the contest will be coming out shortly. In the meantime check out last year’s recipes, and start stocking up on your favorite Girl Scout cookies!
