I’m so excited to announce the release of this year’s Girls’ Choice Outdoor Badges. For the second year running, Girl Scouts of the USA has asked Girl Scouts from all around the country to vote on what kind of badge they’d like to see added to their repertoire, and for the second year running, girls chose to expand their outdoor badge options. (I sense a theme here…) This year, the theme girls chose combines two of my personal favorite things: nature and art!
Girls also showed their artistic prowess by choosing the awesome designs for these badges – which proves that Girl Scouts already have what it takes to become outdoor art masters. Download the badge requirements now – available for Brownies through Ambassadors – and get your girls together to start seeing the great outdoors through an artist’s eyes!
The booklets and badges are available in the Girl Scout Online Store—and as a special promotion, the booklets can be downloaded for FREE through June 2016. (Or you can purchase the printed badge requirements.) Starting July 1, the digital downloads—for both years one and two of Girls’ Choice—will cost 99 cents. The new badges and badge booklets will be in River Valleys’ council shops by June 30.
P.S. Share your girls’ beautiful outdoor art with us on Facebook! We love to see what our talented River Valleys Scouts get up to over the summer months.
